Milos Beaches

Milos beaches are some of the most magnificent beaches in Greece, with azure or emerald waters surrounded by sand dunes. There are also a lot of magnificent rock formations, as a result of the volcanic eruptions in the past.

Milos has more than 75 beaches and some of the more important are: Adamas’ beach, Sarakiniko, Agios Konstantinos and Alogomandra Beach, Papafragas and Phylakopi, Agia Kyriaki, Tsigrado, Firiplaka, Paliochori, Provatas, Gerontas, Kleftiko and Kapros beach.

 

 

 

 

Adamas beach in Milos

The two beaches of Adamas in Milos are best for those who like a cozy place. The first one, Lagada, is located just near the harbor. Both have great golden sand and clear water.

Sarakiniko beach in Milos

Sarakiniko beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of Milos. It’s located in the north-eastern part of the island, east from Adamas. If you see a photo of an Aegean beach it might be of this one because it’s the most photographed beach in the Aegean. The entire landscape is white and empty of plants, contrasting greatly with the azure waters surrounding it.

Papafragas beach in Milos

Papafragas beach offers one of the most impressive sites of Milos with crystalline waters changing colors and deep dark caves surrounding the beach. A few meters away from the beach there is Phylakope, the most ancient site of Milos.

Firiplaka beach in Milos

Firiplaka beach is a long beach with silver sand and colored rocks. The beach is located in the southern part of the Milos island.

Paliochori beach in Milos

Paliochori beach is located 10 km south of Adamas and is the perfect place for practicing water sports. You can also spend some time in fish taverns.

Gerontas beach in Milos

Gerontas beach is located in the south-western part of Milos and is the perfect beach for those who love nature. The beach is surrounded by gray sand and the water is transparent.
