Kefalonia Weather

Kefalonia Weather is just like the other Ionian Islands. Kefalonia’s climate is mild Mediterranean. The winters are rainy and the summers are hot and dry.

One of the major characteristic of the Ionian Islands is rain. The average annual rainfall here is three times higher than the one of the Aegean Islands.

Because of the rain, the island has dense vegetation, a lot of forests and fertile plains. On the other hand, the winds here never get strong, not even in summer.

June, July and August are perfect for vacation. The temperatures are between 25 C and 26 C and it seldom rains (2 days all through the month of June and not at all in July and August).
