Unemployment in Greece

Greece’s unemployment rate eased to 8.2% in June versus 8.3% logged a year ago, the statistical office said Tuesday.

In June, the number of unemployed people amounted to 403,365, while the economically non-active came to 4,275,649.

Number of unemployed decreased 3.1% between June 2004 and June 2005. Between June 2005 and June 2006, it fell 11.9% and between June 2006 and June 2007, decreased by 0.2%.
