Roxani traditional houses in Northern Greece are built on the slopes of Mount Ismarusin in the picturesque town of Maroneia. Beautiful to visit summer or winter, the town was moved to the slopes in the 15th century to avoid pirates. Maroneia is now a magnet for tourists with its renovated mansions, 18th century churches of Panagia and Agios Ioannis Prodromos and long, colourful history. Places of interest are the port of Agios Charalambos with its modern breakwater. Parts of the ancient walls are visible together with a monumental roman propylon. One of the most important sites in Maroneia is the ancient theatre, the restoration of which is in progress and to the west is the Sanctuary of Dionysus. Roxani traditional houses can facilitate 3 or 4 people and have all modern conveniences. All the rooms have sea and garden views providing relaxing vistas for our guests to enjoy. Roxani Country House Hotel is conveniently situated to explore this delightful area of Greece.
