Ionian Islands

The Ionian Islands are located in Ionian sea in western Greece. The major Ionian islands are

• Corfu (Kerkira),
• Paxi islands,
• Lefkas
• Ithaca (Ithaki),
• Kefalonia
• Zakynthos or Zante.

There are many smaller islands in the Ionian sea, some of them inhabited, like Kalamos, Skorpios (the island belonging to the Onassis family), Kastos and Meganisi.
