Erymantos traditional houses in Xanthi northern Greece is a forest village situated at Stavroupolis in the public Forest Drimos. It consists of twelve wooden houses, traditionally furnished to comfortably accommodate 4-5 people. The area has many places of interest to visit including the nearby waterfall, 35 m in height which is characterized as the largest in the Balkans. There are forest trails and from the top of Gyftokastro (1745m high) you get a panoramic view of neighbouring Bulgaria or you can travel around the mountainous region, if you have a 4×4 car, through a wide network of forest roads.
