Samonas traditional houses in Crete Greece is a complete neighbourhood located in the village of Samonas, in the district of Apokoronas, at an altitude of 400 m and 25 km from Chania. The village still preserves its picturesque character since it is quite small and has few inhabitants. Their main occupation is stock-raising, agriculture and honey production. The settlement is built on a hill slope with impressive view from all dwellings. Built from stone and wood in the traditional manner, each of our houses have common courtyards as well as verandas or balconies and quiet corners. They also have all modern amenities including fitted kitchens, air condtioning, solar heating and luxurious, traditional hand-made furniture and furnishings. The settlement has its own coffee house, swimming pool, gym and Turkish bath to ensure all our guests have a relaxing holiday in Crete.
