Ippikos Equestrian Center – Horse Riding In Crete, Greece, is based in Karteros, ten minutes drive east of Herakleio. We have over 35 horses, a small petting zoo, and a large outdoor restaurant and – at weekends – a fun park. Treks to the nearby beach take place several times each day for beginners, intermediate and advanced riders. We also have short pony rides around the center for very young children. During the week we offer structured horseback riding lessons with one of our qualified instructors.
