Erymantos traditional houses in Xanthi northern Greece is a forest village situated at Stavroupolis in the public Forest Drimos. It consists of twelve wooden houses, traditionally furnished to comfortably accommodate 4-5 people. The area has many places of interest to visit including the nearby waterfall, 35 m in height which is characterized as the largest in the Balkans. There are forest trails and from the top of Gyftokastro (1745m high) you get a panoramic view of neighbouring Bulgaria or you can travel around the mountainous region, if you have a 4×4 car, through a wide network of forest roads. There are taverns and coffee shops around the area, where you can dine and have fun. Erymantos and the beautiful area of Xanthi is sure to have give you a memorable holiday in northern Greece.
