Cephissus River

Cephissus river – Kifissos river in Central Greece rises on Mount Parnassus but is also fed by tributaries from Mountain Giona and Oete.

Certain parts of Cephissus river original course run through the precipitous massifs of Central Greece.

Cephissus river formerly flowed into Lake Copais, but today it waters the Boeotian plain before being guided into Lake Iliki via a system of canals.
