Trichonis Lake is a freshwater lake in Aetolia-Acarnania Prefecture, 6 km southeast of the town of Agrinio.

Trichonis Lake drainage basin covers 421 sq. km and is surrounded by the Panaetoliko, Naupaktia and Arakyntho Mountains.

Trichonis Lake is the largest Greece lake , with an area of 97 sq. km; it is 58 m. deep and lies 16 m. above sea level.

Trichonis Lake is fed by the surface runoff from its hydrological basin, as well as surface and underground springs. Its outflow runs along a 2.8-km-long canal to Lake Lysimachia.
