Athens International Airport

Greece airports, Athens International AirportAthens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” has been serving Greece’s capital since the opening date March 28th, 2001.  Athens International Airport has already managed to earn international recognition, holding top positions in the world for the last four years in Overall Passenger Satisfaction – in its airport size category – according to the IATA Global Airport Monitor and AETRA surveys. The airport is the major hub and base for Olympic Airlines, Greece’s state-owned airline, and also for Aegean Airlines and serves more than 15 million travellers annually. It was named after the Greek politician Eleftherios Venizelos.

Thessaloniki Airport

“Makedonia” airport is located 13 km far from Thessaloniki city center,  in the area of Mikra, and operates since 1930.The building installations cover 21000 m2.  

Heraklion Airport

Heraklion airport “Nikos Kazantzakis” is located in the city of Heraklion. The first plane was landed the summertime of 1939. In 1947 were manufactured the first building and in 1953 the runway 09-27 with initial length 1850 metres.

Chania Airport

Chania airport “Ioannis Daskalogiannis” is located  15 km north-west  of Chania city, at the area of the  peninsula of Akrotiri, over the gulf of Souda and it has been operating since 1967. Its plants cover 14650 m2.  

Rhodes Airport

Rhodes airport “Diagoras” is located  15 km west of Rhodos town and operates 1977. Its plants covers  60.000 square meters of surface.  

Corfu Airport

Corfu airport “Ioannis Kapodistrias” is located 1,5 km from the city of Corfu and operates since 1949. 

Kefalonia Airport

Kefalonia airport “Odysseas” (EFL) is located 8 km far from the city of Argostoli and operates 1971.

Mykonos Airport

Mykonos airport “Delos” (JMK) is located 3 km far from the city of Mykonos. Its plants covers 8000 square meters of surface and operates since 1971. 

Santorini Airport

Santorini airport (JTR) is located  6 km far from city of  Fira, in the area Monolithos”and operates since 1976. Its plants cover  4.000  square meters of surface.
