Vefa Alexiadou, a chemist turned cookbook author and publisher, has taken Greece by storm, and is doing quite well overseas. Her ten cookbooks, three of which are also in the English language, has revitalized interest in traditional Greek cooking.
Her cookbooks have also sparked interest in other cuisines having introduced Greeks to recipes from around the world.
Through her cooking, Vefa Alexiadou promotes Greece wherever she goes, be it Germany at the Book Fair, or the United States, which she visits often, or Australia where she participated in a special Olympic Cooking Program a few years ago…
