Technological Educational Institute of Piraeus

The Technological Educational Institute of Piraeus is one of the oldest Technological Educational Institutes in Greece.

Founded in 1983 under Law 1404/83, it is the successor to the Centre of Higher Technological Education (ΚΑΤΕΕ) of Piraeus, which formerly combined the traditions and experience of the two oldest Higher Technological Schools in Greece: the School of Assistant Engineers of the National Technical University of Athens (the Little Polytechnic as it is often known), the first Higher School of Electronics founded in Greece as part of the Anastasiades School; and the Sivitanidios School of Trades and Professions.

Today the Technological Educational Institute of Piraeus consists of two Faculties, the Faculty of Management and Economics and the Faculty of Applied Technology. The central buildings are located in the Municipality of Egaleo in West Attica.

Striving for higher knowledge and the development of the love of learning, the Technological Educational Institute of Piraeus is a top-class educational and research establishment, responsive to the increased demands of modern society for trained personnel with a solid scientific grounding in the area of applied technology.
