For the past several years, the Professional Windsurfers Association
World Cup has been held on Paros, Greece. The reason? The Meltemi, an
Aegean wind that blows hard over the island in July and August.
According to Forbes, Paros island in Greece and the whole Aegean sea
in general is one of the top 10 locations for windsurfing worldwide.
The Meltemi summer
winds is one reason and the other is the fact that there are dozens
of Greek islands and whitewashed churches to explore if Paros gets
old.
